Double Days Matching Challenge
Update 1: The $1000 Double Days Matching Challenge was met!!! Ahead of schedule! YIPPPEEEE! Thank you to all of our friends, family & mystery donors! We still have $800 to raise. We are expanding our original goal to a STRETCH goal of $6800 to cover the cost of transportation from the airport to the University of Arkansas and Tshirts for the team. (We will be pretty stinky if we wear our one team shirt the whole time!!!) Update 2: Another mystery donor has pledged $300 to keep the matching going! Every donation will continue to be matched dollar for dollar. That means your $10 donation becomes $20. Your $50 becomes $100 and so on. We are almost there! Please share our campaign with everyone you know. We are almost there! WHO ARE WE???
We are the LunaTechs! A community based First Lego League Robotics Team in Cary, NC. We are raising money to attend the Razorback Invitational at the University of Arkansas to compete with 64 other FLL teams from around the WORLD! We are a part of the non-profit Wake Robotics. Our team members attend: Exploris Middle School, East Cary Middle School, Martin Magnet Middle School, and Homeschool. We have had a great season so far. We won the Champions Award in November at the Winterville, NC Regional Tournament. The Champion's Award is the highest honor bestowed in FLL competitions. To be considered for the award, the team must perform well in the categories of Robot, the Project and Core Values. We were incredibly excited! That win gave us the chance to compete at the State Tournament with 60 of the best teams from around the state. In preparation for the State Tournament at A&T University, we worked hard to improve our robot, our project and became even closer as a team. During the awards ceremony we were cheering for all the winning teams and then we heard our name called! - wish you could have heard our screams when we were announced the 2nd Place Champions!!!! WHY ARE WE RAISING MONEY? As a result of our 2nd Place Champion’s Award, our team received an invitation to compete at the Razorback Invitational at the University of Arkansas with 64 other teams from around the WORLD! What an incredible honor! This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We are beyond excited to have the chance to meet students from around the world and share our passion for science and technology. We are proud to represent North Carolina at this high profile tournament. We are already hard at work improving our robot and project! We have so much fun together that it hardly feels like work. However....We can't do it without your help!!! We need to raise the funds to get us there. How will the money be used?
What can you do to help?
